Making art in shopping malls

Last Friday I led the first of several artist expeditions out to a suburban shopping centre in Toronto. I’ve been postponing posting photos from the expedition in search of some way to describe the aims and objectives of this mall art experiment (plus all the ideas and observations that informed its development) in a sensible way to non-nerds. No such luck yet.
Not writer’s block, I think, just been doing a lot of professional writing for other things. Leaves little writing juice for my own work. Le sigh. Hoping for better luck this weekend. Meanwhile, some photos for your viewing pleasure. Context and captions to come later, I promise…

P.S. This SHMART (shopping mall art) experiment and the forthcoming ones made possibly thanks to the Ontario Arts Council.
