Social herbaceous public art intervention in Hong Kong Park

As part of ArtAlive@Park, these students from the Academy of Visual Arts have been giving out small plants and seedlings to passerbys. The most frequently asked questions are about the technicalities of caring for the plants – how much sun, how to water, can they change the pot… The plants are free but the artists have only prepared 1000 of them for distribution over 3 days. “Of those who stop to look,” says one of the artists, “most end up taking one home. But many people walk through this path on their way to and from places so they don’t always stop.”
