Met with Festival Acces Asie and Oboro today about them presenting me in May 2011 - I know! It’s practically 2 years away, but I’m being invited to show almost any art project I’d like to share. The only parameter is that it contains a networked element.
I put three ideas on the table. They were super encouraging and supportive. Seems like they’re favourable to any of the three; the decision is totally up to me based on whatever I want to pursue the most right now. So hard to decide - May 2011 is so far away! What will the world be like by then?
…now I just have to find the time somehow to apply for some grants to do this… argh. sigh. hmmm..

ARTISTS IN CONTEXT is a flexible organizational framework designed to assemble artists and other creative thinkers across disciplines to conceptualize new ways of representing and acting upon the critical issues of our time.
Structured as a 10-year initiative, AIC is a timely and relevant endeavor to cultivate the visions, concepts, plans and projects of contemporary creative practitioners at an historic moment of transition and necessary change. The project initially leverages the intellectual, creative and activist underpinnings of three New England metro areas — Boston, Providence and Portland – and organizes situations for conversation, research and artistic production among individuals involved in the arts, architecture, sciences, humanities, commerce and communications. AIC is a creative platform for the generation of ideas and real-world projects that move us closer to a sustainable future.
The first project of AIC is an Artists’ Prospectus for the Nation, a multimedia work that positions artists as active participants in society and documents their innovative plans for re-thinking issues of health, nature, shelter, learning, belief and justice, among others. Broadly accessible and widely distributed, the Prospectus aims to be a resource for public conversations as well as policy making.
