Just received a new writing grant from the Toronto Arts Council!
It’s a modest grant, but the applications are assessed by a blind jury (meaning they read your writing samples and artistic statement without knowing who you are) and it’s my second one from the tac so i am super super thrilled.. a big vote of confidence is how I see it.
THANK YOU to everyone who has encouraged me to continue writing - especially to those of you who have been inspiration, readers, mentors, referees… your support is so key.
Folks who literally gave the writing and me shelter while this particular project was still finding its first legs: my sister Polly, Sevan, Kerry, Shannon and Tom…. thank you.
