My little brother got some new toys for his DSLR, including this 52-mm fixed focus lens. I actually have no idea if that’s what it’s called. He said something about fixed focus, I think, and the edge of the lens says 52 mm. I have something of a detective streak in me.

You can’t tell so much in this photo but this new lens makes for the most amazing portraits of people. I borrowed it for a friend’s wedding this weekend. Had so much fun! And look, now I’ve finally got a photo that shows off the light better in the new studio. (OK I promise to stop calling it new… soon…) You can actually kind of see my desk, in spite of all the clutter.
