I sent a photo to Maria saying:
I didn’t have the courage to write directly on the grey-white
Forgive me for taping over it
I wanted your words with me
The other side of this grey-white painting is a deep green painting. Both paintings by Maria. The grey-white area was an invitation from her to place my words on her work.
The green painting is very powerful. Too powerful, I told her, to look at all day long. (And, I wanted her words with me.) Some other time I will post the other side to this double-sided painting.
